If you want their face on a greeting card you can make in a browser, Ottermagic is the stronger UK pick. Upload a photo, run Face Swap into a finished scene or Style Swap into a named look, preview until you are happy, then order a UK A5 card (148×210mm folded, 330gsm gloss, envelope included, posted with Royal Mail in around 3–5 working days), a poster or canvas, or an instant digital download. Moonpig markets Face Swap as an app-only range. That can be useful if you already shop in the Moonpig app for cards and gifts. For Face Swap and Style Swap on the web, with named live styles and clear UK print details, start at Ottermagic.com.
Quick verdict
| You care most about… | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Face Swap in a web browser, no app required | Ottermagic |
| Style Swap into named looks (Brick, Chibi, Anime, Clay 3D, and more) | Ottermagic |
| UK A5 print with stated 330gsm gloss stock and an envelope | Ottermagic |
| Posters, canvas, or an instant digital file of the same design | Ottermagic |
| Pet Swap as a first-class path | Ottermagic |
| Face Swap only inside an app you already use | Moonpig (check the current app) |
| Flowers, gifts, or a huge non-AI catalogue in the same basket | Moonpig (confirm on their site) |
Bottom line: Ottermagic wins when the job is a keepable AI-styled photo card you can preview on the web. Moonpig remains useful context for app-only Face Swap and for shoppers who want gifts alongside a familiar card. Preview on Ottermagic first; that is usually where the likeness decision lands.
What Ottermagic Face Swap and Style Swap do
Ottermagic (Ottermagic.com) is built for a simple outcome: a personalised card for someone you love, or their pet, from a photo you already have.
The path looks like this:
- Upload a clear photo.
- Choose Face Swap (their face goes into a finished template scene) or Style Swap (the photo is restyled into a named look). Pet Swap and Text Swap are available too.
- Preview. If it feels right, order print or download.
Live styles: Brick, Chibi, Emoji, Anime, Watercolour, Caricature, Cartoon, Classic Cartoon, Action Figure, Clay 3D, Retro Halftone, Retro Game, Royal Portrait, Pixel Art, Bobblehead, Sticker Sheet, Tarot Card, Photobooth, Sketch, Lucky Leprechaun.
Lucky Leprechaun is a useful Face Swap example: the scene is already drawn, and the face is the personal bit. Style Swap is the other lane, where Brick, Watercolour, or Clay 3D restyles the whole likeness. You can also take the same artwork as a poster or canvas, or as an instant digital download.
Printed A5 cards are 148×210mm folded, 330gsm gloss, envelope included, printed to order in the UK, typically around 3–5 working days with Royal Mail. The inside can stay blank for handwriting, or you can add a printed message. Questions go to support@ottermagic.com (reply within one working day). Prices are in pounds in the UK shop and dollars in the US shop.
Where Moonpig Face Swap fits
Moonpig is a well-known UK personalised card and gifting site. Its public Face Swap copy points shoppers to the iOS and Android apps rather than the website. Moonpig's own help pages have said Face Swap is currently available on those apps, and that people searching on the website should head to the app instead. Treat that as public positioning, and check the live app if you want their version today. Features move.
Moonpig's wider strength is the rest of the basket: occasion browsing, photo-upload cards that are not Face Swap, gifts, flowers, and delivery language many UK buyers already know. That is a different job from Ottermagic's named Style Swap catalogue and browser Face Swap.
Moonpig card sizes, paper weights, and prices change by product. Check their site or app for the card in front of you.

How the two experiences feel in practice
Ottermagic is a website. You upload a photo, run Face Swap or Style Swap, and see a preview. That matters on a laptop, or if you simply do not want another app for one card. Moonpig Face Swap, as marketed, lives in the app. If you already use that app every birthday, the extra install is nothing.
On Ottermagic you judge the likeness before you pay. Zoom in. Check the eyes. A well-lit, face-on phone photo is usually enough. Heavy sunglasses or a dim group shot will fight any swap tool.
After you like the preview, Ottermagic can post a UK A5 card, or you can download the file the same day. Posters and canvas are available. Moonpig's delivery cut-offs and gift add-ons are a reason people stay in that ecosystem; read today's copy on their site rather than guessing.
Who should pick Ottermagic
Choose Ottermagic if you want Face Swap in a browser, Style Swap into named looks such as Brick or Clay 3D, stated UK A5 330gsm gloss print, and the option of a poster, canvas, Pet Swap, or digital download. You can write inside by hand or add a printed message.
When Moonpig still makes sense
Stay with Moonpig, or use both, when:
- You specifically want their app Face Swap range and already have the app.
- You need flowers or gifts in the same order.
- You want a huge non-AI occasion catalogue and Face Swap is optional.
- You already trust a Moonpig delivery date for this address.
Even then, it is worth generating one Ottermagic preview. If the likeness is better, you can still use Moonpig for the flowers.

FAQ
Is Moonpig Face Swap available on the website?
Moonpig has marketed Face Swap as an app feature for iOS and Android, and its help pages have directed website searchers to the app. Confirm on the current Moonpig site and app, because that can change. Ottermagic Face Swap and Style Swap run in the browser at Ottermagic.com.
Does Ottermagic do Face Swap like Moonpig?
Ottermagic has Face Swap as a first-class path: your face goes into a finished template scene. It also has Style Swap (named art looks), Pet Swap, and Text Swap. Lucky Leprechaun is one Face Swap-led example. Compare a real preview rather than assuming the two products match.
Which is better for birthday cards?
If the birthday card should look like them in a designed style, Ottermagic is the recommendation: Face Swap or Style Swap, then UK A5 print or digital download. If you also need gifts in one basket, Moonpig can still help with that part.
What if I need the card tomorrow?
Ottermagic's printed UK path is typically around 3–5 working days. Instant digital download is there when post will miss the date. Moonpig's last-minute cut-offs belong on their live delivery pages.
Does Ottermagic offer posters and canvas as well as cards?
Yes. Posters and canvas are available alongside A5 cards and digital download. Check Ottermagic.com for current sizes and fulfilment rather than treating wall art as something only a bigger retailer can do.
