ottermagic (“we”, “us”) is a UK-based business selling personalised greeting cards and digital artwork through this website. ottermagic is a trading name of Jamdrop Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 14733701, with its registered office at 4 Priory Court, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, ST5 2EA.

We are the data controller under UK GDPR.

• Photos and text you upload, and the artwork we make from them.
• Your email and name when you sign in (via Google or email).
• Order details: what you bought, delivery name and address, any printed message.
• Payment confirmation. Card details go to our payment provider, never to us.
• Support emails.
• A session cookie for your basket, plus standard server logs.
• When analytics is on (you accepted it, or you are in the US and haven't turned it off): which pages you visit and roughly where and on what device, through Google Analytics.

Guests can preview without giving us a name or email.

• To make your card and fulfil your order (contract).
• To answer your messages (contract).
• To keep the service safe and fair (legitimate interests).
• To keep sales records the law requires (legal obligation).
• To see which pages and cards people like, through Google Analytics (consent; in the US, until you opt out).

We never use your photos for marketing or training, and we do not sell personal information. We do not send marketing emails today; if we start, we will ask first.

• Image-generation services, to make the artwork from your photo.
• Our print partner, who gets the artwork plus the recipient name and address.
• Our payment provider.
• Hosting, storage, sign-in and email providers.
• Google, for analytics, only when analytics is on.

Each acts on our instructions. We also disclose where the law requires.

In the UK and EU, with some processing in the US under UK-approved safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

• Saved photos: until you delete them or ask us to.
• Previews and artwork: so you can reorder or re-download; deleted on request.
• Orders: six years, for tax.
• Guest sessions: one year of inactivity.
• Analytics: 14 months in Google Analytics.

Ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data at support@ottermagic.com. We reply within a month. You can also complain to the ICO.

You must be 18 or over to order. Photos of children may only be uploaded by a parent or guardian, or with their permission.
