Where Ottermagic stops, on purpose
Ottermagic does not sell a video-hosting greeting card. Face Swap puts a face into a template. It does not play audio.
That limit is useful. The printed A5 is a finished object: 148×210mm folded, 330gsm gloss, recyclable stock, water-based inks, envelope included, made in the UK. Posters and canvas extend the same picture onto a wall. US recipients can have the printed A5 sent by airmail to a US address in about 2–3 weeks. Digital download covers late birthdays and any date too close for the post. You see a preview of the likeness and can reject it before paying.
QR cards have their own check: record until you like your voice. Different nerves.
When a QR card is the better buy
Choose a voice or video QR card (from whichever UK shop currently does them well; read their privacy, storage length, and print times on their site) when:
- the person struggles to read small type
- the story is too long for the inside panel
- you are recording a choir of nieces
- you already know they love that brand’s delivery cut-offs

Privacy and lasting
QR cards ask you to think about who can scan the code if the card is left on a communal table, and how long the host keeps the file. Read the retailer’s wording. Do not assume forever.
