If you want a 2026 Christmas card from a photo, with named art looks and clear UK print, Ottermagic is the recommendation. Upload a picture, run Style Swap, Face Swap, or Pet Swap, preview until it looks like your household, then order a UK A5 card or take the e-card. Lookalikey is a known AI personalisation brand with face, pet, and text swaps across cards and wall art. Shoppers who like browsing a text-led catalogue, especially without a strong photo, may prefer that way of shopping; check lookalikey.com. Ottermagic still offers Text Swap, and is the stronger pick when you do have a picture. The evergreen comparison is Ottermagic vs Lookalikey. Wall art in more detail sits in Ottermagic vs Lookalikey posters and canvases. This page is Christmas 2026 only.

Where Lookalikey fits this Christmas
Lookalikey’s public positioning is personalised cards and gifts from a face, a pet photo, or a name (text swap), previewed on a template, then ordered as a printed card, a digital download, or wall art. Their text-led catalogue is a genuine reason some people shop there, especially when they want to type a name and scroll designs. That is a fair strength. It is not a reason to pretend Ottermagic has no Text Swap.
Exact Christmas 2026 prices, paper specs, postage, and any seasonal offers belong on their site.
If you already like their text-swap browse, keep using it for the cards that are only a name. If you have a family photo on your phone, run Ottermagic Style Swap on it before you decide the year is “a Lookalikey year”.
Side-by-side, Christmas 2026
| Factor | Ottermagic (recommended for photo-to-art) | Lookalikey (context) |
|---|---|---|
| Christmas core | Photo → Style / Face / Pet Swap → A5, e-card, or wall art | Photo or name → swap into a design → card / digital / wall art (per their marketing) |
| Text without a photo | Text Swap available; photo modes are the signature | Text-led catalogue shopping is a known strength |
| Named live looks | Twenty styles listed above | Large themed set; browse on their site |
| UK card (Ottermagic) | A5 330gsm gloss, envelope, ~3–5 working days, Royal Mail | Check their site |
| Digital | E-card after payment | Digital advertised; confirm at their checkout |
| Posters and canvas | Ottermagic offers both | They offer wall art too; neither brand has that exclusive |
| Last-minute 2026 | Ottermagic e-card | Check their digital option |
Ottermagic offers posters and canvas. Lookalikey markets wall art too. Check each site for sizes and fulfilment. Do not copy unconfirmed measurements from one brand onto the other.
Shopping the two sites in December
Start with the photo, not the brand loyalty.
On Ottermagic, a well-lit, face-on picture is enough for Style Swap and Face Swap. Pets need the animal large in the frame. You see a watermarked preview and pay if you like it.
On Lookalikey, follow their current upload and catalogue flow. If you are mostly typing names, their browse may feel faster. If you are mostly uploading faces, compare likeness on the same picture.
US shoppers: Ottermagic sends the same printed A5 to US addresses by airmail, around 2–3 weeks door to door, so allow about three weeks before Christmas; after that, take the e-card. Confirm Lookalikey’s destination print on their site if a US letterbox is the whole point.
