Mother's Day notes
UK Mothering Sunday and US Mother’s Day fall on different dates. Count working days from the Sunday you actually celebrate, not from a generic “May” in your head.
Photos that often work: a recent face-on picture they already approved, a quieter portrait than the holiday-table group shot, or a Pet Swap of the animal they baby. Avoid the least flattering candid from Christmas, unless the joke is established and kind.

Father's Day notes
Father’s Day is usually the third Sunday in June in both the UK and the US, which makes the calendar slightly less confusing. The photo problem is the same: many dads are badly photographed because they are the ones holding the camera.
Ask for a new picture, or use one where he is looking at someone else with a living-room lamp on. Side profiles can work in Sketch and fail in Face Swap. If the first preview feels like a cousin, retake.

US shoppers: order the printed A5 from the US shop at least around three weeks before the Sunday. If the date is closer than that, pay for the e-card, then print at a local shop or send the image. You can still use US spelling (personalized, color, favorite) in any words you type for them.
