Couple, family and multiple-face Face Swap cards

You want both of you on the front, or the kids, or the whole slightly chaotic household. On Ottermagic you still start with a photo, then you preview. Style Swap can restyle a couple or a family picture when the faces are clear. Face Swap puts a face into a finished scene; some designs are built around one person, so the honest test is the live preview, not a promise that every template will hold five heads. When you like what you see, order a printed A5 card or take the e-card (a hi-res, watermark-free download). The printed card goes to UK addresses in around 3–5 working days and to US addresses by airmail in around 2–3 weeks. Start at Ottermagic.com.

That is the whole method: try it with your actual pictures, keep the result that looks like your people, and do not force a group into a one-face crop.

What you can try

Ottermagic's photo paths are Style Swap, Face Swap, and Pet Swap. Text Swap covers name-only designs if a photo would be a mistake.

Style Swap takes the picture you upload and restyles the likeness into a named look: Brick, Chibi, Anime, Watercolour, Sketch, Photobooth, Cartoon, Clay 3D, and the rest of the live set. A couple standing together, both faces a similar size, both in focus, is a fair Style Swap input. A family sofa photo can work when you can actually see each face. A wedding table of twelve, candles, and a lot of shoulders usually cannot.

Face Swap keeps a complete scene and replaces the face the design is expecting. Lucky Leprechaun is the named one-person example. If a live Face Swap design asks for more than one face, follow the on-screen steps and judge the preview. If it asks for one, crop to that person.

Two coordinating cards is a calm option for anniversaries and family birthdays: the same style, two faces, two envelopes, or one printed A5 and one e-card for the person who lives elsewhere.

Pet Swap is how the dog gets on the mantel without pretending the dog is a Face Swap extra.

Preview is the quality gate. If the site shows you a result, you can buy it. If it looks crowded or the second face smears, change the photo or the approach. Usually the crop is the problem.

Couples

Anniversary and "just because" cards split into two moods.

Playful couples can handle a Face Swap into a grand scene for one of them, plus a Style Swap of the pair for the shared card. Royal Portrait, Action Figure, and Photobooth have a sense of humour. Use them if you already tease each other in public.

Quieter couples often prefer one Style Swap in Sketch or Watercolour, made from a photo where both faces are lit the same. Window light, standing close, camera at eye level. A restaurant selfie with one face in glare and one in shadow will restyle that imbalance.

If only one of you likes being photographed, make their Face Swap the front and write the other name inside. That is still a couple card.

For a two-person Face Swap, you need a design that expects two faces, or you make two cards. Forcing two heads into a one-face box is how you get a merge that looks like a stranger. The preview will tell you immediately. Trust the wince.

Families

Family cards fail when the photo is a performance and nobody's eyes are open.

Take one dedicated frame. Step away from the birthday cake if the only light is the candles. Ask everyone to look at the phone. You do not need a matching outfit. You need faces.

Style Swap is the first try for a group that already exists in one picture. Keep the people large in the frame. A full-length shot from the other end of the garden makes everyone into a pebble.

Children move. Take a burst. Pick the sharp one, even if someone is mid-sentence.

If the family is really "the kids plus the dog," consider two previews: Style Swap of the children, Pet Swap of the animal. You can order both as A5, or put the favourite on a poster. Posters and canvas are available; check Ottermagic.com for live wall-art details.

Grown-up siblings who live in different cities can each take an e-card of the same Style Swap and print their own copy. The posted A5 works when there is time for the post: around 3–5 working days by Royal Mail in the UK, around 2–3 weeks by airmail to the US.

When Face Swap should stay on one person

Face Swap shines when the joke or the tenderness is this person in this scene. A dad as a costume, a teenager in a template they will actually laugh at, a mum who would like a finished illustration rather than last Tuesday's kitchen photo.

That job is often one face. The rest of the family can live in the inside message: names, a line about the year, who paid for the card.

If you came here because you searched for a "multiple-face Face Swap," treat the live catalogue as the authority. Generate. Zoom. If a design handles more than one face well, you will see it.

Photo habits that help more than one person

  • Similar face size in the frame (one person should not be a distant speck)
  • The same light on both faces
  • Eyes open, hair in frame, glasses readable
  • Original phone files, not a screenshot of a screenshot
  • For Face Swap, a crop that matches how many faces the design is asking for

US families: the photo rules do not change. Only the post does: the US shop sends the printed A5 by airmail, so allow around 2–3 weeks, or take the e-card if the day is closer.

Printed cards are A5, 148×210mm folded, 330gsm gloss, envelope included, printed to order in the UK, then posted with Royal Mail to UK addresses in around 3–5 working days or sent by airmail to US addresses in around 2–3 weeks. Recyclable stock, water-based inks. Blank inside or a printed message.

The e-card is the digital download: hi-res, watermark-free, useful when the party is sooner than post or when people are in different countries.

Checkout is in pounds in the UK shop and dollars in the US shop. Support: support@ottermagic.com (reply within one working day).

Ready when you are

Make the couple or family card from the photo you have, then believe the preview. Try Style Swap on a clear two-person or family shot, try Face Swap where a scene wants a face, and use Pet Swap when the animal is the point. Print an A5 330gsm gloss card with an envelope, order a poster or canvas, or take the e-card when you need the file now. Start at Ottermagic.com.

FAQ

Can I put two faces on one Face Swap card?

Sometimes, when the live design is set up for it. The preview is the answer. If the template is a one-face scene, crop to one person or make two coordinating cards.

Is Style Swap better for couples than Face Swap?

Often, yes, because Style Swap can use a photo that already contains both of you. Face Swap is stronger when the fun is one person dropped into a finished scene. Generate one of each if you have five minutes.

What about a family of five?

Use a photo where every face is actually visible, and start with Style Swap. If the picture is really three good faces and two blobs, take a new one. You can also make a card for the birthday person and mention everyone else inside.

Can the family pet be on the same card?

Pet Swap is the path for the animal. Some family photos include a pet and a person; try Style Swap and see whether both read clearly. If the pet disappears into a sofa, photograph the pet on its own.

We live in the US. Can we get this in the post?

Yes. The US shop sends the printed A5 by airmail to US addresses in around 2–3 weeks. If the day is closer than that, use the e-card and print it locally or send the file.
