If you want a personalised card that looks like them, and you are posting to Brighton, Nottingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Oxford or Cambridge (or you live in one of those cities), Ottermagic is the UK path to use. Upload a photo, run Style Swap, Face Swap or Pet Swap, preview until it feels like magic, then order a printed A5 (148×210mm folded, 330gsm gloss, envelope included, printed to order in the UK, posted with Royal Mail in around 3–5 working days) or an e-card, which is a hi-res, watermark-free download. There is no Ottermagic high-street shop on the Lanes, in the Victoria Centre, or on a Cambridge market stall. Cards are made to order and posted. Start at Ottermagic.com.
This page is for those six cities. It is not a Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol or Liverpool guide. The print facts are the same UK-wide. The occasions below are the ones people in these places actually buy for.

How posting works (one UK print path, not six local hubs)
Ottermagic does not run city print shops. You should not look for a walk-in counter in Hove, Jesmond, or Cowley. You approve a preview online, pay, and the A5 is printed to order in the UK, then posted with Royal Mail. Around 3–5 working days is the typical window to a UK address, including these cities. Working days skip weekends and bank holidays. A Thursday order is not a Monday guarantee if a holiday sits in between. Read the estimate at checkout.
If the birthday is on the Palace Pier tomorrow, or a college parent is already on the train, use the e-card and print it on a home printer, at a copy shop, or send the image. Recyclable stock and water-based inks apply to the printed card. The e-card is the file.
Brighton and Hove
Seaside birthdays, thank-yous to childminders in Hanover, anniversary cards that will sit in a bay-window flat, “sorry I missed your gig”. Photos from the beach are often back-lit. Step away from the glare, face the light, then try Watercolour, Photobooth, Cartoon or Clay 3D.
Face Swap suits a playful “you as a seaside character” only if they would enjoy it. Sketch is better for a quiet thank-you after a hospital stay at the Royal Sussex. Pet Swap for the dog who does the Undercliff walk.
Student houses in Kemptown still get mail. Count Royal Mail working days, not “Brighton is close so it will be quicker”. Distance inside England is not a special Ottermagic zone.
Nottingham
Birthdays around the Lace Market, leaving cards for a school in Beeston, a new-driver card posted to a family in West Bridgford. Goose Fair photos are colourful and often blurry; take a still portrait afterwards.
Style Swap in Brick, Retro Game or Action Figure fits people who want a bit of humour without a joke shop pun. Royal Portrait and Sketch suit parents. If you are sending to campus, remember term dates and empty halls in the long vacation; an e-card can follow a student who has already gone home.
Sheffield
Hills, five-a-side, graduation parties, thank-yous to a scout leader in Hillsborough. Steel-and-brick city, Brick and Clay 3D looks happen to sit well, which is coincidence, not a local factory.
Sport and music photos at night need extra light. Ask for a doorway portrait. Face Swap into a loud scene is fine for a bandmate; less fine for a sympathy card. Pet Swap for the Peak District weekend dog.
Printed A5 still takes the same 3–5 working days as anywhere else on the Royal Mail path. Do not assume a Sheffield postcode is faster.
Newcastle
Thank-yous to a childminder in Jesmond, 50th birthdays on the Quayside, a marathon card after the Great North Run weekend. Ottermagic is not a Great North Run partner. You are making a family portrait of the person who ran.
Coastal wind on Tynemouth photos can close eyes. Take three shots. Cartoon, Photobooth and Action Figure suit a loud family. Watercolour suits a quieter Nan in Gosforth.
If they need it at a Sunday lunch in Heaton and you only thought of it on Friday, e-card. The A5 will not become same-day post because the Toon is “not that far”.
Oxford
College parents, DPhil leaving cards, a tutor thank-you (still not a university partnership), housewarmings in Cowley, a baby card to Summertown. Formal photos in gowns hide faces under hats. Use a portrait without the lid, then write the college joke inside.
Sketch, Watercolour and Royal Portrait match a lot of Oxford stationery taste. Chibi and Anime are what the actual twenty-year-old might prefer. Ask yourself who the card is for.
May and June are busy with parties. Count working days backwards from the date on the invite. E-card for anything inside that window.
Cambridge
Same student-and-family pattern as Oxford, with its own streets: a card to a house on Mill Road, a coach thank-you after a college boat, a long-distance miss-you to someone who moved to town for a lab job. No Cambridge print studio to collect from.
Photobooth and Classic Cartoon for friends. Sketch for a supervisor thank-you if you are sure they want a likeness. Text Swap if a photo would be odd.
Punting pictures are romantic and terrible Face Swap inputs (angles, sunglasses, motion). Take a still on the bank.
Occasions these cities share
Birthdays, teacher and nursery thank-yous, new drivers, graduations, moving-in with a flatmate, sorry cards after a messy week. The other Ottermagic occasion pieces cover those jobs in more depth. Here the point is fulfilment: one UK A5 spec, Royal Mail to these postcodes, e-card when post will miss.
You can still order posters or canvas of the same artwork for a student wall or a family kitchen. Check Ottermagic.com for live wall-art details.
Ready when you are
Make the card look like the person in Brighton, Nottingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Oxford or Cambridge, then post it as a real A5 or send the file. Upload a photo, try Style Swap, Face Swap or Pet Swap, and keep the preview. Print 148×210mm 330gsm gloss with an envelope (Royal Mail around 3–5 working days), or take an e-card. Start at Ottermagic.com. Support: support@ottermagic.com (reply within one working day).

How long to Nottingham or Newcastle?
